About Fauquier Pride:
Our history
Officially launched in 2023 - this movement has been a dream of our founder James Cornwell since his childhood. Growing up in Fauquier County, he one day dreamed of starting a group to help bring inclusion and acceptance to the small town of Warrenton, Virginia.
"My hope is that future generations can feel safe and walk freely, without judgment or persecution for who they love or how they define." ~ James Cornwell
Our mission
With our sister group, Warrenton Pride - designed to promote events and raise awareness alongside Fauquier Pride - we want to create an online presence that promotes safety, education, action, and be an information resource for the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.
We are an events-based nonprofit, with a focus on education for social, physical, and mental well-being - all while celebrating what it means to be queer, proud, and human.
